“You should add this feature, it can’t be that complicated”

This is unfocused. New features create tech debt and make the team move slower. They also don’t solve the most important problem. Unfocused startups fail.

In ag the most pressing thing is pretty easy to spot, balancing the demands and their ebb and flow can be a challenge.  

One pattern that I see with many small businesses is the tendency to work on what you enjoy, which isn’t always the most important.  Nature often provides a pretty clear roadmap.
