I would say no In the 70s they cut rates much faster, which caused the second peak to be larger than the first If we continue to ease on the rate cuts, we could achieve the “soft landing”

I’ll take the counter, unless the trump admin deports enough to grind the economy to a standstill or quells both tensions in Ukraine and Middle East. Still too many costs rising related to labor force and energy, especially given demand now foreseen with ai & data centers. But I’m a bit of a doomed so I’ll be happy to be wrong.

Ooo for sure. I was just saying the 1970s inflation was due to rapid rate cuts. The graph in the OG post should include interest rates to provide a more cohesive story. If trumps tariffs and policies backfire, inflation is up and to the right lol 📈📈📈
