I feel like basically both sides of the wellness coin here — MAHA and trad med — have elements that are extremely corrupt and don't advance a healthy culture that benefits all Americans. Through my support of this woman and others like her, I unknowingly supported a social media machine that manufactures fear to sell stuff more than it make people meaningfully healthier. This beyond all other things fills me with guilt and regret. To add insult to injury, I supported people that now have contributed to an administration that has withdrawn all support for MRNA based therapies, meaning that my support, likes, comments and shares wound up actively hampering — perhaps outright destroying — my ability and others' to receive gene therapy that would meaningfully change my life. I don't believe these people genuinely mean what they say. I don't believe these people are invested in a healthy America. I believe these people are motivated by amassing personal wealth and that's it.
