Went to a Balam, a Tulum-styled restaurant at the new Royalmount mall in MTL this weekend with @matthewb Dish 1: Hamachi y Atùn Tiradito 🐟 Fresh hamachi, yellowfin tuna, cucumber drenched in soy, yuzu, passionfruit and habanero. Flavours 11/10

Dish 2: Camarones y Pulpo 🌮 Tacos with Argentinian shrimps, grilled octopus, crispy potato’s, onions and a chili salsa with smoky and nutty flavours.

Dish 3: Patos Carnitas (personal favourite) 🦆 Smoked duck leg confit, radish, onions, coriander, lime, meco chile and tamarind salsa. The second photo has a sneak peak of dish 4 in the bottom right.

Overall very good. @matthewb & I were pleasantly surprised by this lil spot, esp after discovering our fav Mexican restaurant (Maria Bonita) had closed down. Vibey Mexican atmosphere, flavourful dishes, fun drinks, would go again.
