I'm a digital nomad, so I run my setup at a friend's house in exchange for contributing to the internet bill and a free UPS to keep their internet up in power outages! I didn't want it to be too intrusive so it's disguised in a bookshelf. And if I ever need to, I can hard reboot it from afar with the smart power strip

Nice! I haven thought about having to reboot mine. Last time my power went out longer that the UPS could handle (my fault, changing an outlet), my NUC didn’t auto-turn back on. I need to configure that

super easy in the BIOS menu. the first time i tried to hard reboot from afar, i had to facepalm when i realized that I'd just turned the NUC off with no way to turn it back on 😂
