Looking for people who are frustrated with the changes and new direction for channels. Last week, we got a lot of good feedback from people happy with / excited about the changes. See below. Now I want to highlight what's still not working for people. Specifically: 1. What's frustrating? 2. What would make it better? https://warpcast.com/dwr.eth/0xcf622e07

It feels way less fun to explore. It's all gated communities now.

You can read and reply to all of the casts? You'll appear above the fold. Any channel you casted in during the last 90 days you got migrated to? Why do you need to top-level cast in a new channel if doesn't give you a distribution boost?

I probably post to 100-200 subreddits a year, 50% of them for the first time. I often have a question in a domain far outside my expertise, and find it often sparks great discussions. Not sure why someone needs to be an "insider" to start a conversation. I think great content is great content, regardless of who it comes from.

I guess I'm not really looking to join a bunch of cliques/insider groups. I have plenty of IRL friends and communities. I'm more interested in massive online worlds with few gatekeepers and lots of great blackswan conversations

1. You keep ignoring that you can reply to anything and participate without being a member :) 2. If you don't want to join the group, then why cast in the channel to begin with? There's no distribution benefit (all of your followers see it). There hasn't been a benefit for a long time.

1. But I can't _start_ a conversation. I often have a thought, think "oh, I wonder if there's a channel on subreddit/WC to post this and start a conversation", but now i can't do that. I can only broadcast to my existing friends, but I specifically want to be encoutering new minds. I am not looking to make new friends. I am looking to discuss/build on ideas (and in the process make new friends!). whereas channels seems to be for making friends now? but specifically i think thats terrible, because friends are best made IRL. 2. i cast in channels because I assume people in the channel are really into a topic. i often want to cast into a channel where im a noob, without necessarily becoming. amember of that channel. like i said, in reddit ive probably cast one time into 300 subreddits. MOST of the time i cast once and never again. but sometime i cast once, something interesting happens, and next think you know im a member for life and meet new life long building buddies.
