The problem is taking Farcaster seriously. It's a toy social network right now that culturally avoids a lot of the annoyances of Twitter. It doesn't have a serious chance of beating Twitter or ever becoming mainstream. If you start from that assumption it's a lot more fun.

Disagree. Farcaster is a simple idea (Twitter, but with some parts on blockchain), that, if taken seriously, can make our world better, by fixing things that Twitter got wrong.

I agree with that though. I just don't think it has a *serious* chance at success, and by that I mean it's a low probability outcome. I still hope it happens but like everything with startups, it's far from guaranteed.

Low probability outcome = no *serious* chance. I love this. Not only about FC, but in general. Describes my life but I hadn't seen it in these words before. A bunch of low probability bets, all of which have no serious chance, and so I can laugh at all of them, and yet there's enough so it somehow always works out.
