do you think tipping is dying?

We just need a new way of doing it. The current way looks spammy to a newcomer. I have a few "features" of how a tip should be, but I still cannot think of possible ways to implement them.

just off the top of my head. tipping tokens standarize their foundations with apis/ single-sources of truth for things that are easy to build dynamic frames, dashboards, tracking, usage by default. Think "Tip Kit" sort of deal that just lets you roll your own safely and easily. Then we look into standardized Actions or action/frames that then hit you with a direct cast for results vs spamming replies. Flow could be: Find content/art you love. Click the four-square icon, click tip, a frame pops up with your allowances and a number, type the number you want to use, next screen -- the amount, confirm. Then it sends it for you easily... you get a DC "Your tip was recieved". they get a DC "You just got XXX from @username!" everyone just follows the tip-bot to get notifications. Then it's invisible to most users but very visible to those who want to play.

the DM for sender and receiver solves a part of the issue I have had, but the problem is that there's apparently a rate limit for DMs. This could be addressed by sending hourly tip reports tho. The main problem with this approach is that the action+frame method takes too much time and it becomes so inconvenient that it actually would feel like writing a check. The "like to tip" method for ham is innovative, but it also feels kind of counterintuitive if you want to tip more than a few times (liking and un-liking a post for a few times)

You could add two actions one for a quick tip and one to configure. another option that's more nuclear is a FC client where tipping is first class but I don't think we're behaviorally there yet. most are t comfy swapping clients yet

Yeah, I also think that the "tipping client" is probably the best idea. Maybe even warpcast can do something about it since tips are probably among the top 3 reasons (if not the #1) most users are here in the first place.
