some random thoughts 1) have been spending more of my time trying to explain the long term importance of a protocol like Farcaster, feels like the long term sell isn’t getting the same response as I thought it would

I was teaching a class on Farcaster and I used the explanation about "owning your followers" even if they/you swap clients and it seemed to click. if you're on web2 the whole "what if they shut down" falls a little flat in my experience. but "what but if your audience swaps apps"... went different.

the platform capture angle is really compelling for creators; it's the whole reason why creators spread themselves across multiple channels and income streams, so that they're resistant to any one collapsing or shutting down farcaster could be the final answer to that

it is "starting over" but imho/experience leaving 10k for 1-2k I still have better engagement and fun here vs 10k (likely bots) letting go (if you're like me and ditched the other place entirely) can feel like losing but I think there's a far better upside and doing it early will draw more here and you can win off that

Exactly - if you follow the trends out for 10 years, it's clear which one wins (ps it's the purple one)
