a common theme across the 50+ interviews we've done in the last 10 days is that it is HARD for new users to get started, know where to cast, find their footing and like-minded people.

starter packs, /gmfarcaster, FC newsletters, and finding a "onboarding buddy" help — what else? what needs to be better? how?

we need to reward FCers for helping new people find their way at least similar to the way we reward good content--even if it's in much smaller form. there's no algo to do that like rewards, but imagine if we had 30-50 on call while on FC to do that and we rewarded them monetarily. give them a tag or icon and tell newcomers to look for that icon.

we need a known place, nearly universally approved (channel?) for newcomers to go and ask their questions.

If there's a way to do that, it would be great. Seems like a tough algo to create and discern, but I'm not a dev and you are a dog. So, if it can be done it could be great. A lot of it happens in DCs and not just on casts. One of several things that make it tough to track.

Maybe a FC Ambassador badge + leaderboard for incentive?

makes sense and a very real concern. trying to think how to scale (with idea of rewards)…i don’t think we get to near enough of them or the depth they need, nor they finding us. but rewards is a double-edged sword. so i’m with you on the concern.

great feedback! i think most existing users post bugs or questions to /warpcast or /farcaster but that's not intuitive or obvious, so should improve this.

will think on rewarding FCers for helping new people, but love how farcasters do this naturally and would be afraid incentivizing it could affect the culture.
