Allow with unconditional love and respect. You can explain the benefits of what you prefer and let him express what he feels. He may be more suited for home schooling

Yeah... my younger kid (high-functioning autistic) has PDA (pathological demand avoidance) - it's pretty debilitating, had no choice but to homeschool, there was literally no choice. A few months of kindergarten really pushed him over the edge. It's brutal, might take years to recover. It's really hard on the whole family, but all I can say is that I know some parents have it even harder than I do and I empathize.
