Every time I log into my Wordpress site, I just hate it. It’s so convoluted and the number of clicks and decisions I have to make to post really sucks. I have over 20 years of posts so migrating elsewhere feels too big, but I want to.

Former Wordpress blogger here (10 years). I had self-hosted and hosted blogs there. Left for reasons similar to what you describe. I know @paragraph recently launched a one-click migration tool for WP sites, and I love the Paragraph editor. Something to consider...? https://warpcast.com/colin/0x26d607cd

Interesting. I had not considered that and I’m a bit worried about how long they’ll be around. I don’t know much about the company either. I have a couple of newsletters there and it’s a decent editor.

I enjoyed this podcast interview with the founder, Colin Armstrong. I've also published a written interview with Colin (including a question about company longevity). Don't want to shill, but if you're interested LMK. I'd be glad to discuss my experience as a user. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ_BwfLCzKs

Spent some time researching and considering, but I don’t think Paragraph is the right move. They’re really building to help people monetize their content through newsletters, which is great, but not what I want.

Most of our writers are not making money on Paragraph (similar to how most writers on Substack don’t paywall). Monetization tooling is something we’re building, but it’s alongside both creation + distribution tooling as well

Understandable. Over time I'm hoping to make Paragraph something of a general publishing home base for several of my projects (both free and monetized), but of course it's still early. That one-click migration tool would have been a major draw for me back in the days when I used WP, since I had hundreds of posts.
