This is a good decision. Preferenxe falsification is a big problem in society and we need to see people's honest views. It would be really cool if Farcaster follows it, by implementing ZK likes. Can probably borrow technology from zupoll.

I really wonder how many people would continue using a social network (or protocol) where that wasn’t visible, or, at the very least, deprioritized from a UX standpoint. Not convinced incentives are aligned.

there's an option to disable it on mastodon and people tend to use it and be happy with this. no counter for followings, followers, likes or reposts, only for replies.

I don’t want people who are incentivized by weird status games (follower/like counts). Its contributed massively to the hellscape-ification of the internet as far as I can tell.
