I strongly prefer cardio (cycling, running) - I get substantially more enjoyment from these and love being outdoors. But weightlifting is more aligned with my goals. So it's often a struggle between the two and for different reasons

you should consider doing calisthenics at your local calisthenics park. You can reach very similar goals to weightlifting, but you can do it outside

The skill set is far different, even though I’m used to doing pull ups, muscle ups and all the other stuff like planche and pistol squats are another level of fine muscular stability entirely
