i think from psychology perspective, it would be better to just increase the floor price - i'd rather just pay $350 for a ticket and see that as the whole "ticket" than pay $200 and be nickle and dimed for a bunch of perks that used to be included in the ticket price

but then that precludes other folks from flying who can afford $200 but not $250...

ugh
