Ok, say with this and read it just now. Group formation and facilitation has a lot of history … and very little tooling to support it: it’s mostly training and practice.

I’d add Open Collective as a financial primitive that can be plugged into any group formation. It’s the shared expense treasurer in a box on the fiat side of the world. 

It’s still not super well known, but it has a strong stack and keeps growing. 

Like many systems, needs better remix APIs.

Of the list of protocols you mentioned, Bluesky is most designed with data schema primitives. It’s also the only one that doesn’t use a blockchain, so that label felt off for me ;)

ah! The flip side of this would be: tools don’t work ;) Only the practice of communicating and group formation is what makes people better at it. 

And of course, the disconnect between practice and tooling choice. 

Throw someone in a brand new Discord account when they prefer email & it won’t end well.

yeah — training doesn't scale IMO — at least when there's not as broad of base anymore of informal training
