I bought an airalo data eSIM for Singapore and switched data to it… instructions say to leave voice/text on primary. Iirc last time I did this I just temporarily turned primary off. Then voice seems to switch to eSIM as well but I assume this is fine/like a null pointer. Point is to avoid Verizon $10/day intl roaming

Verizon triggers a 24h thing with any use of voice/text/data

Yes just turn off that line. Keeping voice on but data to eSIM works but you’ll still get charged daily roaming. I really wish Airalo would sell me voice as well. @boscolo.eth says he’ll solve this for me.

It is crazy that in 2024 voice/sms is so explicitly tied to your mobile wireless data provider. I know why they do it, high switching costs means they can rent seek. Voice/sms should just be an app on your phone like every other messaging app you use. Queue @3num
