No one consciously chooses to suffer and yet most of us are attached to our own suffering. We know what we do makes us miserable, and yet we continue to do it. Why?

1. Suffering is a consequence of life. It belongs to it like breathing. It is more about our perspective on it 2. Humans get used to being in their comfort zone. They more likely choose to suffer in certainty rather than extending their comfort zone & step in unknown land. Which may be more challenging but less painful
