This week I tried something new. Normally I write my /firstdraft in my journal & then copy it on Paragraph. This time I typed my first draft on my mobile phone. A completely different quality. It is much more structured and easier to copy. But the text feels more mechanical. I've watched myself writing a sentence and then skip ahead because I had an idea of where the story was going in the text, which led to a gap that I needed to fill later. And I started to format it already, which distracted me from the a actual story. Later I felt stuck. I didn't know what to write, how to continue. This took several days. Suddenly there was too much structure that was preventing me from writing. Then I sat down with my diary on Sunday evening and wrote a new text with my pen. I'm happier with the result. It feels more flowy, even if it might not make full sense and is shorter. The phone was limiting my creativity, whereas writing by hand just lets it flow. https://paragraph.xyz/@bodhilama/30

I never used any social media apps (insta, twitter etc) before. Didn't really feel the connection to it. When I got to know about Farcaster I was hooked. I actually wanted to go deeper into the Web3 communities & it seemed like the best thing to do. Now, I use /firstdraft to stay accountable with my writing practice and different channels/people to stay up-to-date in the cryptoverse. But I think the main reason is authenticity. Web2 social Media is full of fake & un-realness. On farcaster the vibe is different, people are much more open, vulnerable, transparent & real!

I feel some shame around presenting my work, when it is not perfect. This week Life came in between me & the writing, so I had not so much time & I couldn't double check if everything is correct (grammar, typos, story etc.). But, the more I write, the more I let go of this urge to chase perfection. To put it raw, just like that, in /firstdraft feels fricking amazing!!! Several months ago, I started a challenge to write each day for 365 days. I stopped on day 27. During these days my fantasy was on fire & I created a whole universe around a guy called bodhilama. Now, after a long creative winter, creativity is kicking in again.
