When I graduated high school, I was kicked out. I got a part time, minimum wage job to fund rent and tuition. I often went without eating. Planned Parenthood allowed me to get the healthcare I needed, from annual checks, Pap smears, birth control, STI testing, antibiotics, and more. I never had an abortion. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/06/vance-defund-planned-parenthood/

I understand why men don’t care about this and are fine with voting against women’s best interests but it’s beyond me how any woman would vote against her own right to bodily autonomy, controlling whether she has children and affordable female-specific healthcare. Personally, I don’t think any person whose sex hormone is not primarily estrogen should have the right to vote on women’s issues. Let women decide to strip our own rights. I guarantee that the majority of us would be against it. Men should have no say in it at all.

Yeah it’s sad to see women voting against their own interests. Most likely stemming from privilege, ignorance, and lack of empathy for others (as it is for men). Both men and women are indoctrinated into this patriarchal society and have internalized misogyny (I am not exempt from this). Reproductive rights and healthcare should not even be a political issue.
