State Street teams up with Galaxy, eyeing new ETFs beyond Bitcoin State Street believes the “next level of growth” will come from investment options offering more than “pure spot” Bitcoin. Asset manager State Street Global Advisors has partnered with the crypto investment firm Galaxy Digital to launch new exchange-traded funds that provide exposure to digital assets. In separate statements, the two investment firms have hinted that these ETFs would expand “beyond” spot Bitcoin “Institutional and retail interest in digital assets has surged since the introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs. However, investors are also seeking exposure to this growing asset class through investment options beyond pure spot bitcoin,” the $4.1 trillion asset manager State Street said in a June 26 statement

US gov’t sends 3,940 Bitcoin to Coinbase exchange Data from Arkham Intelligence indicates the Bitcoin was seized from Banmeet Singh, a convicted drug dealer, during his January 2024 trial. The United States government sent 3,940 Bitcoin to a Coinbase Prime wallet on June 26, onchain data from Arkham Intelligence revealed. According to Arkham Intelligence, the transaction took place at 5:00 pm UTC and involved Bitcoin BTC seized from convicted drug trafficker Banmeet Singh earlier in 2024.

Polymarket contradicts UMA’s resolution on Barron Trump's involvement with DJT token Decentralized prediction market platform Polymarket said the resolution for the betting market on the DJT token from its oracle service UMA was “wrong” and that Polymarket is working on a “near-term solution” to be announced today. Polymarket taps UMA, an optimistic oracle, to resolve wagers. Earlier UMA had determined “No” on a market betting on whether Barron Trump, son of Donald Trump, was involved in DJT. “This market will resolve to ‘Yes’ if a preponderance of evidence suggests that Barron Trump was involved in the creation of the Solana token $DJT. Otherwise this market will solve to ‘No,’” the Polymarket rules stated.

SEC could approve spot Ethereum ETFs by July 4: report The Securities and Exchange Commission could approve applications for spot Ethereum ETH +0.76% ETFs as soon as July 4, according to Reuters, which cited anonymous sources. The SEC "could approve exchange traded funds tied to the spot price of ether as soon as July 4, as talks between asset managers and regulators enter the final stages, industry executives and other participants told Reuters," according to the report published Wednesday. On Tuesday, Gary Gensler, acting SEC chair, said the process for launching spot Ethereum ETFs was “going smoothly.” That same day, VanEck also filed a Form 8-A for its Ethereum ETF, appearing to indicate that the instrument could soon be trading on an exchange.

Paradigm releases production-ready Ethereum execution client Reth 1.0 Crypto venture firm Paradigm has rolled out its first production-ready Ethereum execution client developed in Rust, named Reth 1.0. The client will focus on delivering a stable Ethereum mainnet node and aims for high throughput performance in terms of RPC, synchronization and storage capacity. "After almost two years of development and a successful audit by Sigma Prime, we are finally releasing Reth 1.0, the first “prod-ready” release of our blazing-fast Ethereum execution client. We invite RPC providers and stakers to run Reth," Georgios Konstantopoulos, chief technology officer at Paradigm, said. An execution client is a software application that connects to the Ethereum network and executes the rules of the network. Being a production-ready client software means that Reth 1.0 is ready for use by developers or stakers in their production environments, where it will handle live transactions and operations.
