My kids went to an Acton Academy for a few years and both fell behind too much and it could not accommodate their learning differences. We had to get them a lot of help to bring them up to grade level. It was a bummer, but def lucked out during the pandemic in that they met in person due to class size.

I wouldn’t say I have found success with a single format. They are in a private progressive school, but it definitely has trade-offs and I resent the cost and inaccessibility for people with fewer means. I’ve read a lot of John Holt and while I wish I could home school, I just don’t have it in me.
