I woke up this morning in Tokyo to 2 casts from @dwr.eth regarding future of Farcaster

As a developer building on Farcaster, I found them to be a bit contradictory, unsettling, & overly defeatist.

what’s a net novel feature i will see if i start using Jam right now?

i don’t think people understand what it’s actually like to build on farcaster 

FC apps today probably started off from Warpcast APIs

pretty harsh to be like “you have no novel features” when you don’t know what it takes to get something up …

FWIW, @jam and @discove are probably doing the best they can

also, embeds were literally added last week to actually allow new client patterns

now hubs launched, you have to migrate off of Warpcast APIs to Hub APIs which use different transports (HTTP vs GRPC)

how can you launch net new *novel* features when you’re busy doing migration work?
