you probably cast a bunch in a specific channel

so when new users pick which channels they like, it'll follow a few of the more active users from that channel

just a guess :)

they removed auto-follow on onboarding, and the new ML algo shows you engaging content by default.

i guess we make -some- engaging content, that otherwise wasn't getting discoverd before by new users.
