Now I’m in Hiroshima, and even though the temperature is almost the same as in Kyoto, it’s much more bearable thanks to the constant wind.

Kyoto is a valley with zero wind, so I think my comparison to Death Valley was accurate—the heat just can’t dissipate from one day to the next.
