I'm starting to feel like the most viable path out of the misuse of "ZK" is to just use the word "proof" to refer to a validity proof where you don't care about revealing the full information. And just favor "rollup" over "ZK rollup", and "EVM proof / prover / proving" over "ZK-EVM", where practical.

yeah I think it's more about simplifying communication between devs etc. not sure if end users going to care if it's ZK or anything else I think that's 100% on the product and when people would see a note close to the action they want to make that only necessary info is shared - that's going to make them appreciate it compared to other apps, but even that is only if they're mindful about their data even the slightest

Truth. Nobody actually cares, that's the thing. I guess it's important to define it, but end of the day we place far more importance on semantics than 99% of the people using the stack will ever do.
