Personally not a believer at all that Friend Tech is going to be some insane wealth generation event that flows back into Base, etc It’ll flow back into Base, but I can count on one hand the amount of people who are actually excited to buy the token on secondary and hold Will just be an airdrop cash out most likely

Just heard the end of a Twitter space where someone was saying FriendTech 2.0 would be ‘huge for WarpCast’.. I agree, but not in the way they meant it lol Idk why anyone would pay to chat with dinosaur influencers - with a 10% Racer rake - when it’s all here, now, and is free and wayyy more fun

It was cool for its day but the purple app is better. It was very pvp if you wanted to make money or to get into your fav influencers chat without spending too much money. Here you get to vibe with everyone and every now and then you get paid for it. WC puts social first. FriendTech put money first.

Agreed, I don't see it being a long term thing for most people. It's such a niche market. IMO Circle Tech is the one app I've seen in this department that has a good platform strategy. Monetizing questions and one-on-one chats is still niche, but better than a group chatroom.

agreed Friendtech has never been accessible for a normal user imo even with the bonding curve changes i just don't see how pricing people out of your social circle can have the same kind of exponential growth potential as something like Farcaster and tipping
