ethOS has an on board light client proxy, the nimbus light client proxy, which can turn an untrusted rpc provider to a trusted one by verifying data using the "eth_getProof" call. Any app on ethOS can connect to said node and access ethereum without having to trust the data 🙂

Actually not sure, but definelty not for millions of users for now. I think the Portal Network effort is trying to solve that
