How do you generate OG preview image? Any alternative to @vercel/og?

Tried to homebrew for opencast, works most of the time. Idk how well it scales

vercel/og is the easiest, most robust, and cheapest option imo

AWS Lambda function, triggered by Cloudfront. It sees the request path, loads the appropriate stuff from the database and renders the PNG. Only executes when the user agent is Discord/Slack/iMessage etc, otherwise real users would see the preview image and not the actual desired content.

you can use sharp (not on edge runtime afaik) to do all sorts of things. and jimp as well, if sharp isn't working for you. much more of a pain in the ass than vercel/og, though
