Look, the AI “agents” (bots) on main ain’t for me. Last few days = the first time I haven’t enjoyed Warpcast since I made an account here. I’m not spiralling over it - not everything has to be designed for me personally, it’s cool if other folks like it, and I’m sure the meta will pass. But it’s just not for me.

Biggest problem is not being able to mute a damn channel, just let me mute the entire “higher” channel and im sure my timeline would have a lot less timeline a.i.d.s.(all ignorant dumb shit) on it

i don’t want to unfollow all the people who like said channel, but it seems like that is literally the only option for respite there is at the moment any time I’ve brought up channel muting, dwr and co have been deafeningly silent

And what’s less friction for a user, unfollowing 20 accounts, or fuckin muting ONE channel? It’s a no brainer to me, and it’s anti-user to not already provide this solution. “You are cattle, and you should act like it.” Is what it says to me.

bsky literally gives you a handful of control of your feed, wc still in the dark ages. wc wants full marketshare of the zeitgeist and control the narrative.

If users and channels are social primitives, and you can mute a user, you should be able to mute a channel. Users should feel free to cast about all their interests in different channels. Having to be one-note is antiquated and uninteresting. It's not only anti-user but anti-strategy.
