genuine Q: what happens to these mobile phones if Apple and Android introduce crypto compatibility with their wallet or pay products?

Crypto phones ... physical or virtual can have their place next to big 2 ecosystems and even within them, it all depends on the price point and niche they choose.

Honestly don't think there's a space for big hardware game but virtual mobile providers could integrate into their android versions bunch of useful things. 

we, apple folks, we won't change - be it with crypto support or without it, right 😉
