If you could do anything for a living without fear of failing or concern for money, what would you do?

I’d try writing a novel. Always wanted to and somehow I always find myself thinking about the plot lines; for years now.

Just start writing it without too much constraints or time limit and see where it goes. I had some ideas once for an article my friend was writing for the well known fishing publication he was editor for. He called and asked me to jot some ideas down. So I did. Next call was to figure out payment and release rights so he could publish exactly what I wrote, and 50 plus published works later in 4 different publications I recommend DO IT BRO💪🏽🫡

The great thing about writing is that the tools are cheap and your probably already have the hardware. But man, it takes time. I spent 4 years working on a novel — logged 400 hours in 2020 alone. Got through 2 drafts — 140k words then 120k words. I sort of burned out on it. I think about picking it up again from time to time, I know what I would do in draft #3, but it might have to wait for some nebulous retirement stage in the future because my responsibilities are so vastly different now.
