Earlier today we posted a poll regarding a proposed change the organic FarScores

Under the proposal we would no longer factor in follows by users who have been inactive in the last 60 days

The intention is to continue lowering emissions to a more long term manageable level

Would you also scale up the Moxie given rules to account for these big drops in far scores? Or is the intention to also lower daily emissions at the same time?

I’m actually shocked at this data. I knew churn was bad but I didn’t realize  it was this bad.

I’m surprised by these results. I guess I need a better understanding of how organic farscore is calculated.

this honestly is a positive step in the right direction, thank you for working towards implementing change that allows smaller accounts and other users to have a chance at being able to continue to facilitate growth from the bottom up.

Great idea, removes a lot of the bloat from bot follows.

I agree with that, earning unlimited score just for having followers is giving more privilege to people who might not even be in the ecosystem Ⓜ️

Curious to see that Dan Romero FarScore would be 80.94% down:

if this helps with longevity of the ecosystem, I am for it. We'll trend back upwards over time as we continue to be active here

Now this should be interesting.  Also seems like this could actually level the playing field.

This could be a healthy way of cleaning up the lag.

Ⓜ️ The FarScore Update Proposal - Key Points & Summary
The new organic FarScore proposal being considered now will only count activity from accounts active in the past 60 days. This leads to a significant drop in organic FarScore for some accounts.

Based on the top 3,230 FIDs:
✔ A 79% drop in total organic FarScore
✔ Daily Moxie distribution is expected to decrease by 19%
✔ Most of the Moxie decline comes from FIDs that saw a 60%+ drop in their organic FarScore

You can check the poll and the spreadsheet in the quoted cast to see your updated organic score.
