Just dropped this essay with some reflections on startups TLDR: 10 quick points on how I've seen companies fail, either personally or from the investor seat Would be curious to hear if it resonates or where people disagree https://benroy.beehiiv.com/p/how-startups-die

Solid breakdown. Another quiet killer is misaligned incentives between founders, investors, or early employees. Even with PMF, things fall apart if key players aren’t on the same page about equity, risk, or vision. In the end it’s just people πŸ˜‚

within the crypto circle, another peculiar thing is how pivoting frequently can be a lot more rewarding at least cash wise than not pivoting. so you got to identify who you are a founder & accordingly build long term or take a more product studio approach of launching multiple small apps every narrative etc.

resonated quite a lot on most fronts. I'd also add the fundamental motivation for starting up itself can sometimes lead to expectation mis match hence failure to persist/ make wrong decisions. Have personally felt its way too difficult to build if you re not passionate about the problem you're trying to solve. Money alone at least does not drive me so.
