I think we're going to see a bunch more L3s deploy on @base like Degen Chain. Teams want to: 🔹 own their own stack 🔹 create an environment for to people transact in 🔹 take sequencer fees as revenue 🔹 have a token to use for grants & incentives My bet is 12+ L3s on Base by end of year cc: @jessepollak

Any examples of teams that are working interesting L3s rn? I get where you’re coming from but I’m having a tough time believing teams are reprioritizing roadmaps to do this in a way that is effective Or do you mean totally new products?

I know of two that are in the works, but can't share I'd say: look at how quickly Degen Chain got deployed i.e. I don't actually see it as that much of an added work load It's almost just a coming of age for some products/teams to reframe what they're trying to do around an L3 imo

Yea maybe the actually deployment isn’t that bad but growing a healthy developer ecosystem in the months after seems p tough for most teams imo Maybe the incentives do work but not really sure, will be interesting to see how it plays out

Oh yeah totally agree They'd need to have a funnel of devs/ecosystem folks in the pipeline Or like, be able to 'shoot their own shot' in some fashion in getting attention No one will care about a marginal L3 without interesting additional reasons Def curious to see how it all shakes out
