this feels stupid if you gonna exhibit art but you place a barrier between the art and the viewer then better just leave the artworks at the storage replyoors, wadda u think??

i guess there are a few things i would consider here: is the barrier an intentional part of the artwork? ie: enclosing the artist's works in a enclosed world within the exhibition space? secondly, wondering if it's just required because of insurance reasons lol so they didn't have much of a choice? there have been works in this space in the Bourse de Commerce that had no barriers at all, so this set-up feels intentional and work-specific.

Yes, the circular barrier is there to protect the artworks and is part of the exhibition design which is beautiful. The venue is gorgeous and even the photograph is an amazing shot lol. But still I dont like it.
