Adult Day Center is probably a more accurate term: daytime care for mentally disabled adults.

We just moved my mom into a model referred to as "home plus". They are residential homes in a residential neighborhood that is converted to a sort of small group home. There are two care takers who take care of the residents, all of whom have different needs and levels of decline. The larger places are so awful.
