The concept of a “startup” as a certain form of business really emerged with the advent of the internet. Will a new form factor emerge with the convergence of web3 and AI?

Good insight. Maybe we're starting to see it in the creator economy with the rise of micro-influencers. Companies are shotgun hiring creators on tiktok or instagram with small audiences, so instead of paying one big influencer for a campaign that may fail, they hire dozens of small influencers and hope something hits. Web3 and AI can only make this more prevalent as it's never been easier to be a creator and own your content/audience.

If “software defined hardware” takes off - I do think smart contracts really embody the statement. My thesis is the world swings back towards making things and away from SaaS/software only. Startups but new designs & missions. https://x.com/justjake/status/1631853875539111938
