Weird is on the nicer end. Deeply contrarian views get ostracized, ridiculed, even opposed by backchannel. Those same people will then later profess to have always been in your court, and believed in you all along when you prove your views right. Survival in all elements requires identifying snakes.

Drive drunk and kill someone, you’ll be rightly incarcerated as the murderer that you are. The outcome is also the only difference
