Step 1: Set a clear standard Step 2: Maintain the standard The execution isn’t the hard part, it’s doing what you said you were gonna do while the people who can’t meet the standard gnash their teeth about it loudly and publicly @dwr.eth does this better than anyone I’ve seen in tech.

You don't. Exclusivity is your friend. Especially early.

Have a mission statement clear enough that makes clear who you are serving (and by default, not serving)

As with most things, it depends on the context. But in broad strokes, culture. You can roughly increase inclusivity if your culture supports high standards and expectations. Those who rise to the occasion swim, those who don’t, sink. Give “cultural runway” a look.

Help me better understand your question. Are you implying that it’s challenging to find talent who are both inclusivity advocates and highly gifted engineers?

Speak to your audience. Auto correct for some reason changed it to speak to your Audi. You can try that too...not sure what the answers from a car would be...

Somewhat obvious, but also easily lost: ask users what they want >> build it. Don’t rely solely on financial / token incentives to drive growth.
