I can't tell if it's age, the current macro, or something else... but I continue to find myself drawn into direct conversations and group chats over broadcast social media. Hard to beat social for serendipity, but the real juice seems to be in the DMs and group chats. Maybe it always was?

Broadcast social media is great for performance not for personal. That is why you are going into “chat in common rooms” mode!
