i recently watched hasan minhaj’s latest stand-up comedy show on netflix, where he joked about how crucial it is to choose a therapist who understands you culturally. it got me thinking - i hadn’t really considered this before, but it makes a lot of sense. when we’re dealing with personal challenges, they often involve family and society, and those relationships can vary significantly across cultures. if i’m seeking help, the therapist needs to truly understand these dynamics to offer meaningful advice.

I never tried it in my life therapy or therapist so it feels a little bit weird to do so. I talk to myself a lot already lol and self reflect plus weight lifting. I find the best thing to do to your brain is exercise .

definitely! not for everything we need a therapist, and most things we can sort them ourselves or with the help of friends and family. but we still sometimes can need outside help, and i think therapist fits in that situation perfectly.
