It's not just her, though she lead this specific effort in 2022 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2022-01-30/Opinion). There are a lot of problems with the Wikimedia foundation, similar to other non-profits like EFF, Fight for the Future, and Signal, they have positioned themselves as anti-big-tech, which is fine, but then they loop crypto in with 'big tech' alongside 'all a scam.' Also the Wikimedia foundation has tons of funding, so much so that they pass through the money to fund other nonprofits.
