PSA: There's a new scam going around the Base community

Attackers are asking people to download video conferencing software  with malware that compromises their device and wallets

Please be cautious, and stick with known apps like Meets, Zoom, or Teams

Is not new though believe it or not is started  this year at least since March.

Already a lot of people were compromised by this method.

They also may send a variant of the “brave browser”, ideally avoid downloading instances sent in direct messages, only install from verified sources

Yeah. This guy tried phishing, and created similar app like zoom and asked to download it. I will ask you to please check the domain names and check its genuine before opening it.
