Vorbit SSF with circular and spiral finality: validator selection and distribution This post analyzes how cumulative finality accrues across committees in single-slot finality (SSF) for a wide range of validator sets, with a key focus on committee design. https://ethresear.ch/t/vorbit-ssf-with-circular-and-spiral-finality-validator-selection-and-distribution/20464 ✍️

Excited to share the second part of ROP-7 on 'Embedded Fee Markets and ERC-4337 (Part 2)' by @barnabe and me. Over the past few months, I feel like I've opened many doors and realized how much more there is to learn, therefore I'm really happy to be taking my first steps into researching these topics https://ethresear.ch/t/embedded-fee-markets-and-erc-4337-part-2/20384

Wrote a short post on using Harberger Lease, an idea from @aja @ciamac @undefined and @danrobinson, for Execution Tickets/Auctions. It is an interesting way to prevent hold-out problems and increase allocative efficiency at an, in my opinion, slightly increased risk of more multi-block MEV. https://mirror.xyz/0x03c29504CEcCa30B93FF5774183a1358D41fbeB1/TO_fODV1R1QampX9FVGOYP6m9WZAKckFsZjaj1dizTI

EIP7732 is live! 🎉 The first EIP on ePBS and separating proposer and builder roles. This EIP focuses on block auctions, but future work could extend to slot or ticket auctions. Feel free to take a look and ask any questions. https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7732

Burn incentives in MEV pricing auctions This post identifies a strong incentive for burning MEV through early bidding in MEV auctions: Stakers wish to prevent competitors from attaining a higher equilibrium yield than them. They will integrate with builders to burn MEV. Link👇

Missed this the first time around but no, not really. Péter’s is still only staking nodes “making a list” by just applying local rules (which I don’t think works well enough in practice). His version is closer to COMIS, minus the on-chain footprint which helps coordination and accountability

I heard about this Tuesday from Stephane (Frontier). There are all these arguments of markets as information/distributed processors that I think relate here, if MEV is economic rent.

here's an extension of the ethstaker blog post i made a couple weeks ago - nailing down what we mean by "solo staker" and what other kinds of stakers there are some of these can be mixed and matched, too! e.g. you can be a home solo staker

A validator can bind another validator by producing an inclusion list. But what if the means of IL production were decentralised to the whole network of ETH holders? 🌈

Not really! Though you don’t need “forward” lists if you get them done by the light layer of nodes in rainbow staking for instance

Light-delegated, committee-based, potential-incentivised, anonymous mixed spot+unconditional/forward+conditional cumulative inclusion lists… Should it surprise anyone that it feels like there are as many ways to design ILs as there are blockchain designs?

I feel like a Python spec might be premature, but a good way to get there would be to specify slot auctions. I think both APS-Burn and Execution Tickets would require something equivalent
