I don’t think you guys understand just how bad normie sentiment is towards crypto sometimes. It’s REALLY BAD.

This seems to go for work, too. Now that my last two jobs were crypto related, it's nearly impossible to even get a look for anything non-crypto (even tho I kind of want to work outside it now). It's like a blacklist once you're in it.

I would assume the skillsets were cutting edge and highly desirable, or at least easily transferable.

I think the skills are pretty easily transferable, but companies don't know or don't care and just see "crypto = bad" and instantly pass. The sentiment around blockchain/crypto outside of people already in crypto is quite poor and I think they view involvement as a negative signal.

That's unfortunate and scary. Innovation needs early adopters, so being punished for being early and trying something new goes against progress. 

I talk quite a bit about crypto when someone brings it up, but seems like I should be a bit more cautious.
