I've never felt the class disparity as bad I did this recent trip The city has separated into: 1) trust-fund bourgeoisie larps 2) run-down service class that puts up with 1's bullshit Felt it most acutely taking the L into manhattan on Friday evening and taking the L out to queens on Sunday morning. Same train, very different people

In 2019 I used to commute every morning into Times Square at 5am on the Q and every morning something crazy happened. I had already been living in bed-stuy for 8 years at that point but it was eye opening in a totally different way
