the ENTIRE city felt like a penn state frat party; like there were girls picnicking in tompkins sq in dior & st. marks looked like newport

i’ve lived in & out of manhattan for almost a decade now & have never seen it THIS bad 

it was truly gross; i had a visceral reaction walking down the west side & thought it would be better coming up the east… my lord… it used to be contained

I've never felt the class disparity as bad I did this recent trip

The city has separated into:
1) trust-fund bourgeoisie larps
2) run-down service class that puts up with 1's bullshit

Felt it most acutely taking the L into manhattan on Friday evening and taking the L out to queens on Sunday morning. Same train, very different people
