I proposed the name Gray Tribe as it came from Scott Alexander. But perhaps a better name is Tech Tribe, as it’s more legible.

Tech tribe provokes reflexive immune response though. Loses the cultural stealth Tech also has negative social capital Doesn’t need to be more inspiring or legible Gray pride. Nuff said

I think gray is great as a contrast to red and blue. It could have another name also but it should continue to be represented by the color gray.

I’ve gone with 𝙿𝚄𝙽𝙺 myself Tech isn’t the great unifier, many divisions amongst the tech minded happen/will continue to happen The glue is unlimited curiosity and the daring to question the status quo or the current running norms of whatever culture you may find yourself in

Technology will certainly look different a decade from now and inspire other tribes with even more nuanced ideologies, so calling it “tech tribe” now wouldn’t be very future-proof.
