Why I disagree with Zeihan…

He thinks America is physically stronger than China.

I think America is digitally stronger, but physically weaker.

Why?

China is the factory of the world and can build infra at literally >100X the speed of California.

But it isn’t as good at global apps.
And it can’t argue in Engl

All of Zeihan’s paeans to US geography ignore the fact that politicians make it impossible to build Keystone XL.

All his praise of the US military ignores the fact that industrial militaries are about manufacturing — and the manufacturing is in China.

And also ignores that we’re in the age of drones and cyberwa

Not to mention age of Biowar…

I don’t think people realize that during their extended OPERATION COVID ZERO, China proved that they can control contagious diseases that other countries can’t. 

That was like a trial run for biowar, and they demonstrated an insane competitive advantage to all West.

China has twice the electricity production of the USA.
